Creating Good Habits
Winter Training is a great way to improve upon good habits that are essential. Having a great first touch, incresing your speed of play, and improving on your skills are just a few of the habits we try and stress during winter sessions.
Year Round Training
Players continue to train throughout the winter with their teammates, improving their skills and having fun with the game they love. A true family environment is created when the kids continue to train together year-round.
Hard Work Pays Off
Top players are constantly working hard to improve their game. While some players take days/seasons off from touching the ball, top players are always continuing to train hard. There's no such thing as training too much!
Importance of Indoor Soccer
Playing indoor soccer helps players develop in many areas of the game. Usually, the space in which you are playing indoor is much smaller than when you are outside - therefore players are forced to have better technical skills and must be able to make decisions quicker. Here at SalSoccer, we stress the importance of being technical players, and training indoors is one way to continue to improve your technical skills. While training indoors, our focus is on having a good first touch, along with player movement and speed of play. We don’t allow our players to kick the ball “off of walls” or pass the ball in the air to one another while inside. Everything is on the floor and and to your teammates feet. We believe the development players make during the winter in these areas will translate to on the field once players return outside.
