Foster McCune
Georgetown University
Foster was a camper at Sal's Summer Camp since he was 8 years old. All coaches at SalSoccer saw Foster mature as a player and person. Foster played his youth soccer at Bethesda Soccer Club and was part of several US Youth National Teams. Foster went on to study and play at Georgetown University and was part of the 2019 National Championship team at Georgetown. Foster scored in the National Semifinal against Stanford during the hoyas championship run.
Nilxon Ventura
New York Institute of Technology
Nilxon played his high school soccer for Coach Sal and the Cadets at St. John's College High School where he started his senior year in the goal. Nilxon continued to train hard during his time at SJC and earned a walk-on spot at Coach Vin's alma mater, New York Institute of Technology, a NCAA Division 2 program.
Beau Johnson
Salisbury University
Beau attended St. John's College High School where he was named First-Team All WCAC as a senior. Beau was a key part in the transformation of the SJC Soccer Program and continues to support both SJC and SalSoccer. Beau is a great leader on and off the field and is someone we are proud to have had the opportunity to work with. Beau attended and played soccer at Salisbury University.
Mati Cano
Tufts University
Mati grew up in the DC area playing for DC Stoddert. Mati met Sal at Wilson High School where Mati became one of the best dribblers that DC has seen for some time now, thanks to Sal. Mati continued training with the SALSOCCER staff since meeting Sal and went on to play at Tufts University, where he won the Division 3 NCAA Championship this past season.
Alex Koritsas
Northeastern University, Crawley Town FC (England - League 2)
Alex attended SalSoccer Summer Camp, every summer, as a youth player. Alex also played for Coach Sal and Coach Vin at St. John's College High School. Alex went on to play at Northeastern for one year before moving to England to begin his professional career. In 2019, Alex signed his first professional contract with Crawley Town FC, in League 2 in England.
Matt Surette
Southern Connecticut State University
Matt played his high school soccer at St. John's College High School with Coach Sal and Coach Vin. Matt was part of the historic 2018 DCSAA State Championship team at St. John's - first title for SJC Boys Soccer since 1986. Matt scored two goals in the state championship against Wilson High School. Matt furthered his education and soccer career at Souther Connecticut State, an NCAA Division 2 powerhouse.
